Dirty Dude
Why is Dirty Chicken "Dirty"?
Dirty Dude—the chicken who wants to be your friend—is here to tell you all about this fried chicken that blends the flavors and colors of the tropical Caribbean.
He also wants to talk about friendship and family, and share some innocent jokes, all while showing off a personality that’s cool, sexy, and—of course—a little "dirty." Dirty in an ironic yet elegant way.
He’ll also share how Dirty Chicken aims to connect with the community here in Indianapolis as well as back in Honduras. Dirty Dude will be talking about all that and more.
In the meantime, come enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner of fried chicken made with the love of Latin American friendship.
By the way, the original name of this dish is "pollo chuco," which literally translates to "Dirty Chicken" in English. It gets this name because, when all the ingredients—the pickled vegetables, fried plantain slices, and sauces—are mixed with the chicken, the result is a colorful, flavorful, and chaotic-looking dish that appears a bit "dirty"—in the best sense of the word.
Some traditionalists call it "Chicken with tahadas," but we prefer our rebellious name.
